58th Annual Western Slope Labor Day Shoot 9/1 thru 9/3
4 September 2017: We wrapped up the shoot today, bringing to a close the latest version of Delta Trap Club's annual Western Slope Labor Day Shoot. The weather stayed seasonably hot while the absence of wind helped shooters to high scores. Sunday night's Calcutta bidding was also hot and lots of fun. Now we bid goodbye to a great group of shooters. We hope to see you all back again next year. Please note: photographs in the galleries are thumbnails. Click on each photo for the complete image.
3 September 2017: We are in the middle of the shoot, with doubles, singles and handicap on the agenda. The weather is staying hot and so are the shooters. Last night we had a great turn out for the club-sponsored "burgers and beer" celebration. Good shooting, good socializing -- this is fun! Please note: photographs in the galleries are thumbnails. 2 September 2017: The shoot is off to a great start in the hot western Colorado sun. Shooters are scoring well, the trap kids are doing an outstanding job keeping the traps loaded and logging accurate scores. Even the dogs enjoyed the day!
Delta Trap Club expresses its appreciation to all the shooters who helped make the club's 58th Annual Western Slope Labor Day Shoot a success. The club enjoyed putting on the shoot and hopes every shooter had an equally positive experience. We will leave photographs of the three days of the shoot posted through 1 February 2019 for participants to enjoy and potential shooters at the 59th edition of the shoot to see what to expect. We hope to see all of you who shot this year and more new Labor Day shooters in 2019.
